Does anyone know how to find a good minecraft server to learn modern PVP?? Most of the servers seem to be functionally 1.8 (they are 1.8-modern), and the combat changed in 1.9, so the servers are using old combat. I am interested in getting good at modern combat and cannot practice on these servers, but I cant find anything for kitpvp or bedwars or anything like that thats not stuck in the past.

It’s 1am but I needed to share this idea for the Life Series.

What if the Life Series…but also…Bed Wars?

HEAR ME OUT

Every player has a special bed, or some other kind of block item, individual to them that they use as a respawn anchor. They can die as many times as they like so long as the anchor stays placed where it is.

However, whenever the anchor is broken or the player otherwise is not connected to it, that player is vulnerable and only has a set number of lives. They can reconnect to the anchor at any time and get back their immunity, unless the anchor is permanently destroyed, in which case it cannot be recovered and the player is stuck with their remaining lives.

A Boogieman mechanic would also be in place. One potential way it could work is that a Boogie kill negates the immunity and takes a life away from the player regardless of whether or not they’re connected to their anchor. Alternatively, a Boogieman has to break another player’s anchor, not necessarily permanently, and sever their connection without them realising.

There could be some really funny scenarios with this lmao. Like everyone going to different weird and extravagant lengths to protect their anchor, or even people trading them amongst each other as a sign of trust, before betrayal ensues.

No idea what to call this idea though.

Spawn Life? Fragile Life? Broken Life?

so uh. I was playing bedwars on hypixel in duos.

People still alive:

Aqua (Bed intact)

Me (Remaining yellow, no bed)

1 remaining gray

Where we all were:

Aqua: at base, occasionally fighting gray

Gray: Fighting Aqua with surprise attacks before leaving, repeat

Me: Hiding at the now abandoned Pink base

Current threat levels:

Aqua: Dangerous and terrifying, easily the most threatening

Gray: Less terrifying but still scary

Me: Cowering in fear, despite having a diamond sword, perm iron armor, 2 fireballs, and a dragon buff jic, because I cannot fight

Ways I thought it would end:

Aqua obliterates us (Us being me and Gray)

We end up in a dragon fight (and Aqua obliterates us)

We end up in a dragon fight (and Aqua dies and then we fight each other)

So we've just gotten emerald 3, and I'm waiting out the count down till no beds, and I see a chat message

AQUA BED DESTROYED BY GRAY

Oh. OH.

Aqua: Still scary but not invincible

Gray: oh god oh gos oh god ohg so-

Me: PLEASE HELP-
