Bro I saw this thang called shit theory once a couple months ago and I keep thinking about it in relation to Mcyt 😭

If you don’t know what hit theory is it’s basically a theory that some people get their fame when they have recognizable hair/unique hair that’s their brand. For example Billie eilish’s green roots or Chapel roans red curls.

And obviously this doesn’t apply to every MCYT-er but for some of them it DEF does.

Scott’s easily recognizable from his Teal hair even though he doesn’t dye his hair like that much anymore

Lizzie’s obvously got iconic pink hair

Lauren (even though she’s not rlly involved with Mcyt anymore) has pretty recognizable purple hair

When I think of Joel I think of the green streak

Cleo’s typically depicted with pretty recognizable orange curls

Mumbos got the mustache but idk if that counts lmao

Jimmy’s got blond hair in everything which connects to how he’s drawn with the canary curse and just how he’s recognized in guess the build and stuff like that

V!Shelby has pretty iconic bright red hair pre turning

Again it doesn’t apply to every Mcyt-er but it applies to a good chunck of them and I find that really interesting :3

(The catch is it’s not just anyone with standout ish hair, it’s the people where the hair is kind of connected to their brand/their online presence)

A MIDNIGHT STRANGERS BOOKBINDING UPDATE???

Yes it is! I have fantastic news: my preferred bookbinding website has updated their code to support folio bookbinding again! Huzzah!🥳

As a result, I can FINALLY reformat Midnight Strangers for a better bookbinding! We are SO. BACK.

I’ve added in the one year anniversary epilogue, Calam’s notes, an updated list of works inspired by Midnight Strangers, and will be reformatting the whole thing to a better size!

Over the last several months I’ve been experimenting with other bookbinding and cutting techniques. It’s been tedious but I’m feeling pretty optimistic that the NEW version will be so much better than my first attempt.

As always, I’ll keep you guys updated on the progress.

(And keep an eye out for some other fan related stuff too.)

Something I love about the MCYT cosplay community specifically is how CREATIVE everyone gets like it’s so cool how everyone interprets skins slightly differently and comes up with their own unique designs and props ! I feel like there’s this creative energy I don’t really see in other fandoms because the base material is like literally a few pixels:) idk I’ve seen so many awesome cosplays from people here 😛
