why did he let gloria convince him this was a good idea? she seems so adamant on the thought that he and bede should reconcile their differences, make amends, but every time hop speaks to bede it feels like he’s pulling teeth. his concerns only fall on deaf ears, however, as by the time the sun starts to set hop ( miraculously ) finds himself setting up his tent right between gloria and bede’s. ugh. ‘a sleepover!’ she had told him, all bright eyed and excited, to which hop had to politely bite his tongue to refrain from reminding her that they weren’t little children anymore. he’s the last one to finish setting up his tent, and he takes a moment to step back and admire his handiwork for a while, reaching up to wipe the sweat from his brow with a brilliant grin.
