It's a shame that in 2019 we still have to explain why our rainforests are so important, and it's due in part to mainstream media and big money's ability to sweep these things under the rug, and sway our priorities as humans. Right now the indigenous peoples of the Amazon are fighting to save not just their home, but the future of ALL of our planet, as the Amazon rainforest is the largest in the world, producing the most oxygen on the planet. Corrupt leaders and profit over planet has led to this.
