so Bedphones are amazing headphones meant to be worn while sleeping. And I’m lowkey thinking about bluetooth earphones, and bedphones have a bluetooth version, so it seems like a good fit, right?
only it’s been “on backorder” since february, supposedly back in stock April 5th. Originally it was backordered until mid March, which then changed to April, so who knows.
And the price. It sells for $100, but I’ve been waiting for the headphones to get back in stock before ordering, and the price has gone up massively. twice. since then. first to $130, and I’ve checked again and it’s gone up AGAIN to $150. HAHA, no. I’ve tried these out, they are $50 headphones at best. The included accessories are cheap. They throw around 15/20% coupons like crazy. So they were overpriced to begin with, and now they are massively overpriced like, that eye mask better be straight up silk instead that cheap satin it was before.
I’m so frustrated because I really love the format of these phones. Back when they were on Gen 3, I liked them best of all the sleep headphones I researched, but I never picked up a pair b/c Amazon reviews all agreed that the build quality was crap. It looks like most of those issues were fixed in Gen 3.5.
I wish I could go with a competitor, but I can’t, b/c there are literally no other headphones like this on the market. Thin flat on-ear. All other sleep headphones are headbands, and I couldn’t stand wearing a headband to sleep.
If the price doesn’t drop back down after they’re back in stock, I’ll just buy them from Frys. I wanted to support a reviewer by buying through their affiliate link, but that’s not happening now.
