Some brief history: When she was less than a year old, her parents mysteriously died and she was sent to live with her grandparents, Nora Bluelake and Edward Bluelake. Ever since she was a child, she always believed herself to destined to be a witch, and spent her free time looking for frogs, brewing ‘potions’, and crafting ‘magical’ charms. She convinced her grandparents to get her a pet cat as a familiar; as she was refused a pet frog as well, she named said cat “Frog”. She didn’t have many friends growing up, being regarded as odd and unlucky by her peers, but is hoping to find some new friends at Hogwarts!

After this post by @sallowsoul, I thought I’d try filling one of these out as well!😊 A few days ago, I made a question asking u guys what the biggest inspirations for your characters were. For Bee, I said it was hot cocoa☕️ But she was also inspired by six other characters that some of you might know, and that I love!🥰
Madoka Kaname from Puella Magica Madoka Magi💝: Bee is inspired by Madoka’s boundless kindness and compassion, with both caring full heartedly for everyone around them💕 Madoka is also painted as a ‘savior-like’ figure in the show, which is reflected in Bee’s own savior complex and overly self-sacrificing nature (both of which will be rather important for her character arc!!)
Jo March from Little Women❤️🔥: while I haven’t gotten much chance to explore this side of her yet, Bee is actually rather fiery under all that sweetness (it’s the Scottish in her!!😁) Like Jo, she’s a fiercely independent, stubborn, and witty girl who always stays true to herself instead of bending over backwards for the world! She may be a sweetheart, but she also has self respect! >:3✨✊ Also, like Jo, she’s a writer!!✍️
Sayori from DDLC☀️: Like Sayori, Bee is super sweet and rather cheerful….however, also like Sayori, she has an unfortunate habit of bottling up all her problems and hiding under a sunny facade. She’s always there for others, but has trouble accepting help herself…😞💙 Aside from that, Bee also shares Sayori’s goofy sense of humor and affinity for hugs!💖🫂
Noelle from Deltarune❄️: Again, Bee inherited sweetness, this time from Noelle☺️ However, another big part of Noelle that Bee inherited was timidity. Like Noelle, Bee is scared of….a lot of things. She was very sheltered by her grandparents growing up, so she doesn’t have much experience with, well….anything dangerous. Tbh, they may have coddled her too much annd unintentionally contributed to her anxiety. She’s a lot braver than she thinks, but she’s still got like….957 phobias to get over😅😂
Belle from Beauty in the Beast🌹: First the obvious- Bee is a huge bookworm like Belle! 📚Aside from that, Bee is also inspired by Belle’s imagination, compassion and ability to see past the surface and empathize with others. Bee’s love story with Sebastian kind’ve mirrors Belle and the Beast’s in that both girls are able to see the true hearts under all the darkness others might perceive.💜
Anne from Anne of Green Gables🌺: Like Anne, Bee is a huge nature lover, a bit of an oddball, and very authentic. 🌈They both love poetry, have an inclination toward the arts, and try to maintain a positive and open outlook toward life☀️

Bee’s (Current) Opinion on Seb (and WIP sneak peek)
As you all might know, I do ship my OC, Bee with Seb (yeah I know I’m so original😂). As the long comic is still being made, I’ve just been posting mini drawings until it’s done and released (hopefully it’ll be done by this weekend :3). As I had a lot of fun filling out a chart before, I thought I might fill out another. This might also be somewhat relevant info to know for upcoming parts of the story too :3

Bee was born to Mayari and Finlay Bluelake on March 16, 1875. both her parents died due to unknown causes only two months after her birth.
She was then sent to live with her paternal grandparents, Nora and Edward Bluelake. She had no known family on her mother’s side.
Growing up, she’d always had a fascination with magic despite being unaware of the wizarding world’s existence.
Every Halloween, she dressed up as something magical: a fairy, a unicorn, a princess; but a witch was always her favorite costume.
She often dressed up as a witch outside of Halloween as well. If she wasn’t in PJs, she was likely in a witch getup🪄
She loved to spend time out in nature, finding and collecting things like…
cool-looking sticks and twigs
Pretty rocks and stones
Leaves of all kinds
Flowers
Acorns and pinecones
She loved to used some of the ingredients she found as ‘potion ingredients’.
She also loved to use the flowers she found to make flower crowns🌸🌺🌷🌻
She loved searching for animals (particularly frogs and cats, who she hoped to make her familiars).
She was surprisingly good at connecting with them, and gets along with animals better than most people
She eventually got her pet cat, Frog, for her seventh birthday. They’ve been inseparable ever since💕

She spent a lot of time with her grandparents growing up, and they often passed on their skills to her
Gardening with her Grampa (though she was never very good at it😂)
Cooking & baking at her gramma (she grew quite proficient!!💕🍪👩🍳)
She has HORRIBLE luck😂 always have and always will. Besides the comedic (and angst👀) purposes for this, there is actually a reason for this that I will yap about in more depth someday💖 (Lore! Lore! Lore!)
Her hair grows unusually LONG unusually FAST due to her ancient magic; in my story, her ancient magic abilities also include strong healing and regenerative abilities, so if she cuts off her hair, it’s quick to grow back. Her grandparents had to trim it pretty much every month so it didn’t grow too long and she doesn’t turn into Rapunzel😂
Also remember how I said I’d draw short haired Bee someday? Well I’m planning on drawing long haired Bee as well….
Besides spellbooks and fantasy stories, Bee also grew to really love books about women, written by women. That was still fairly new in the time period, and as she too wanted to write a book someday, reading these were very comforting and inspiring for her 📖
Some of her favorites include Little Women, Pride and Prejuduce, and Jane Eyre
These books also helped shape her feminist beliefs and stance growing up
As a child, she loved to wear pretty dresses (still does) but was also much more of a tomboy in terms of the kind’ve activities she did. Yes, she did bake and draw, and did love having tea parties with her many dolls; but she also loved rolling down hills, splashing through streams, and getting her dress dirty to look at cool bugs🐞🐛🐜
Angst facts
She was rather ostracized by her peers growing up. For one thing, she was quiet: too shy to really reach out and talk to many people. And those she did try to talk to were turned off by her odd mannerisms and interests.
She wasn’t outright bullied for this as much as she was ignored…though she was sadly bullied for other reasons which I’ll explain below…💔
Growing up in 1890, it was already pretty much set in stone she’d have a hard time being a girl.
She was really small for most of her life until she got a growth spurt in the later half of middle school, which made her an even bigger target for…
Misogyny. She…faced a lot of this, sadly😞 Nothing traumatic, I will say, but it was as definitely bad enough to have a lasting impact on her as she’s now…
Even more anxious and timid than she likely would’ve been otherwise
Very defensive when it comes to relationships with boys (I will cover this in more detail in another yapsesh so I don’t go off-topic)
she was also somewhat picked on for her neurodivergence, though this was more backhand gossip and whispering rather than outright bullying

here are my answers for Bee😊
Bee would be a movie enjoyer!!! For her, one of the most comforting things is curling up on the couch with a blanket, popcorn, and her loved ones to enjoy a good late-night movie!!☺️🍿🎥
Bee has a pet cat, Frog, that she’s had since she was seven, when her grandparents got her for her!! The two are very close, and Bee honestly considers Frog more like a sister than a pet, as Frog has been around most of her life.
I ship Bee with Sebastian, but as far as compatibility goes, she’d prob be best fit with Poppy💛🦡
Bee actually doesn’t want that much. When she was a child, she had so many ideas for presents to ask for from Santa (stuffed animals were always were favorite though 🥰🧸).
Now that she’s 15, she finds there’s actually not much that she wants. After all, she already has everything she could possibly want. Two loving grandparents, wonderful new friends, a good school, a literal world of magic✨And of course, we can’t forget her absolute blessing of a cat that is Frog!!🐈⬛💕 She wants to want more, as writing letters to Santa is one of her favorite Christmas traditions (yes she still believes in Santa 🤭), but she finds she just can’t think of anything she doesn’t already have.
So if you were to ask her what she most wants for Christmas….it would probably be for everyone to have the life she has. Bee is all too aware that not everyone is as fortunate as she was growing up. 💔 Because of this, she wants, more than anything, for everyone else to have what she’s always had: a loving family, a safe home, and a merry Christmas.
As far as presents though, here are some things she would like to receive as gifts for Christmas:
Stuffed animals (she has not outgrown them and maybe never will🥰🧸)
Blankets (especially weighted ones!!💕)
Comfortable clothes that are soft, comfy, and will keep her warm (think scarves, sweaters, socks, mittens, etc.) as she gets cold SUPER easily 🥶
Any handmade gift (she finds those particularly sweet!💗)
