BeeFTA Awards 2018

Cue. Drumroll…. It’s here. BeeFTA 2018! After last years awards, I had big hopes for this years BeeFTA’s. The black and yellow carpet was ready to be rolled out. Unfortunately, however, due to budgetary constraints, I’ve had to rain in my plans.

Honestly, it was gonna be great! Queen Bee was gonna be on stage… There was gonna be an enormous caterpillar cake!… bitesize hummingbird muffins, edible bouquets of flowers, bumble buns (not sure these are actually a food), nectar cocktails, beetle juice, butterfly biscuits, wasabi wasps (okay, yep I’m definitely making these up now). There was even gonna be a strict pollinator dress code for attendees. Sounded good right?! Sadly, the fallout from last years awards has hit the office hard. The bees are still complaining about the number of BeeFTA trophies. Uh hu… still. You just can’t get the staff these days.

Anyway, in line with the blogs change of direction for this year, BeeFTA 2018 is not just gonna be about bees. BeeFTA 2018 is going to celebrate the world of pollinators! In the next couple of days, I will be announcing this year’s nominations. There are also going to be a few changes to last years categories… so watch this space! 🦋🐝🐜🐝🐞
