running into people i went to high school with in the grocery store is exactly as mortifying as you’d expect. come to think of it the family dollar isn’t any better. only place to hide would be a beefy’s.

Attention everyone: I, Dinadan J Gurney, burger lover, have found the best burger, and diner experience in Reno. And it was in a small diner in midtown called Beefy's. Something I've wanted my whole life, was to be a regular at a small burger shop in the city. And Beefy's is where it's going to be. It has it all. A small simple shop. A menu filled with nothing but fantastically named, unique burgers and sandwiches, daily specials, a close group of workers and regulars, daily viewings of Jeopardy, and the best burger I've ever had. People, this is not a drill. Cheese burgers are my favorite food ever. They always have been. In-n-Out has been my favorite since I can remember, but it's never filled my need for specials or given the diner feel that I've yearned for. I found it. I loved this place so much, I even bought a hat. I looked up the best burger in Reno, Beefy's popped up, Ollis and I drove to mid town, saw the shop, I gasped in awe that it was the diner of my dreams. A worker outside told us to take a seat wherever. We sat at the counter like I've always wanted, the menu had an endless list of named burgers and sandwiches, I saw they sold hats and shirts, and thought about purchasing if I liked the burger as the atmosphere had already sold me on contributing, I had one bite of their Awesome Awesome (Two patties, four cheeses, grilled onions) and I knew, not only did I find the burger and place of my dreams, but that I needed to tell everyone about it. People, this sheer amount of run on sentences and yearning to share my joy could only be fueled by something amazing and emotionally influenced. I bought a hat people! From the first visit I BOUGHT a hat. I don't even have an In-n-Out hat! This is not a drill people. Beefy's is my new home.
