there’s a lot of things about transness i don’t understand. not because i don’t get stamper’s speech. but just in an analytical sense. it’s very strange to me to think that anyone would choose to transition in a way that isn’t “fully” transfem. in a way that’s not to say unambiguously feminine but to say aligned to the idea i’ve constructed to understand myself. i understand that is not the only type of transition but i have an extremely hard time conceptualizing that. for instance. i have no concept of bodily gender as anything other than something to escape from. so i cannot think of anyone’s body as anything other than something that might turn into mine. my body is my forever prison. i know this is not how everyone thinks and if i’m being honest it’s probably not a great way to think either. because it represents that the oppressive parts of my gender are always looming in the back of my mind and i cannot truly feel myself. but on some level i suppose it makes me a “gender abolitionist” because i don’t want to transition in the way i visualize i want i don’t want to be trapped in my body forever i don’t want to approach anything
