Battling unseen entities Picking and prodding At my broken soul Pulling me From side to side Tearing me apart In different directions Recruiting me For a higher purpose The grand scheme The final battle Between good & evil Darkness feels easy Comfortable actually Whispering into my ears With bad intentions That seem good at the time Light feels beautiful Warm like home Magically majestic A place where I'm Supposed to be Some days I feel conflicted Even though I know Where I belong. I still remember… That sickening feeling Of betrayal surrounding me Like a cloud of poisonous fog. I can still taste The iodine In my mouth From the streams of tears As if I’d just been drowned In the Atlantic ocean.
