Date/Flowers
For day one of beesschneeweek
“We’re going to be late,” Yang says. She leans against the counter, watching T.V. Her black dress is skin tight against her, stopping right above her knees. Her long hair is pulled back in a ponytail and she taps her mechanical arm against the table.
“Stop grumbling,” Weiss calls from the bathroom. “We’re going to be fine.”
Yang looks at the clock. “We have reservations at 7.”
“And?”
“It’s 6:45.”
There’s silence for a split second. “We’re going to be fine. They can wait.” Weiss says it with the confidence of someone who expects the world to listen to her.
Yang rolls her eyes, but she smiles. It gives her something to tease her girlfriend about later.
“You know it’s going to be fine, right?” Blake says, stopping out of the bedroom. She’s decided to go with Yang’s pick tonight, a black suit with golden highlights hugging her curves. She grins, putting the white handkerchief with the Schnee symbol on it in her front breast pocket. “You look good,” she continues, eyes roaming over Yang.
Yang returns the gesture. “So do you, babe. I bet we’d look even better if we someone would hurry up.” She raises her voice for that last part.
“I’m hurrying,” Weiss yells back. There’s a small crash and Weiss hisses.
Blake and Yang look at each other before they shake their heads.
Finally, Weiss steps out of the bathroom. “See what happens when you try to rush perfection, “ she says, using a small compact mirror to finish her mascara. Her dress is long, the usual blue and white. It flows around her as she walks. Her white hair is tied up in a messy bun.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Yang says as she stands up. She walks over, gently kissing Weiss on the cheek. “You look gorgeous.”
Weiss smiles at her before catching sight of Blake. Then she frowns. “Aw, you didn’t go with my pick.”
Blake gives her a kiss on the other cheek. “I’ll wear the dress next time, promise.”
Weiss huffs, but she brings Blake in for a nice long kiss on the lips. “I guess you still look good in the suit.”
Yang swats at her butt, making Weiss yelp. “That kind of talk doesn’t get you more kisses.”
Weiss wrinkles her at her but gives Yang a kiss as an apology. The kiss deepens for just a moment before Weiss is pulling back. “Well then. Shall we go? We’re going to be late.” She marches forward, only stopping to pick up her purse.
“Oh sure. Now, you’re worried about time,” Yang says following her. The two argue on their way to the car, Blake following behind, hiding her laughter in her hands.
BEES SCHNEES WEEK 2018
DAY 2: FREE DAY
“This is getting ridiculous! Where could she be going every week on Wednesdays and Fridays!? Without telling us!”
“Yang calm down! I’m curious and worried about what is prompting this recent behavior but we’re not getting any answers like this. We have to find the way to approach this without making her feel threatened or something because that’s the last thing I want to make her feel”
“*sigh* I know, I know but I’m worried something might be going on with her and we can’t help…there should be no secrets between us unless is about making a surprise birthday party or anniversary preparations”
For the last month, Weiss had been going out every Wednesday and Friday nights to do the gods know what without explaining anything to her girlfriends which worried immensely as she was not one to do things like that, being the most adamant on the three of them being open with each other.
Blake also noted and let Yang know that their Tupperware vanished at many times of the weeks but later came back right to the place where they were previously placed. It was easy to tell because Weiss was responsible for ordering things around the house, which she always did zealously.
Perhaps, a certain white haired huntress partner could shed some light into this question.
“I really can’t help you this time girls! I promised her I wouldn’t tell you anything!” the red haired huntress complained.
“Ruby! This could be important! For all we know, Weiss could be in danger!” Yang complained.
“But she isn’t!” Ruby replied. “Girls, this is something she really, really needs to do on her own”
“So, you know what she’s doing right?” the black haired woman asked and Ruby jus nodded. “Could you at least give us a clue? We’re really worried about her” Blake pleaded and this time, she might have breached out Ruby’s defenses.
“I told her something like this would happen soon but she didn’t listen. I can’t tell you what she’s doing but I can show you where she is going...you should see for yourselves”
The silver warrior conceded before writing an address for the two lovers to follow.
“Got it. Thanks Rubes” said Yang very grateful and headed with Blake to the place where the address lead, taking them to Vale’s community center where you could take some courses and/or participate in clubs and that’s where they found her.
All this time, the white haired woman had been taking cooking classes for beginners in secret, wanting to learn the skill out of curiosity and to be able to make something for her beloved women; helping them in the kitchen even as she wasn’t allowed near it when in the middle of cooking after an incident in one of Beacon’s kitchens when she tried to bake a pie for one of their picnics.
Seeing all the effort Weiss was putting in class and feeling relieved she wasn’t in danger, they decided to leave it be and went back to their home. Weiss would tell them when she was ready, and then they would calmly discuss everything as they always did.
Unbestknown to them, Weiss was aware of their presence as Ruby sent her a message on her scroll warning them about Blake and Yang coming to her with questions and that she warned her that this would happen.
“I guess it’s time to come clean with them; hopefully they’ll understand and maybe, like this croquettes we’re making in class”
Still, seeing her lovers all worried and protective of her never failed to put a smile on the Schnee’s face.
