My own tmnt iteration which i’ve been working on nonstop for the past two weeks, first off April and Casey!
Casey and Donnie are able to connect right off the bat. Despite Donnie being a mutant turtle, Casey thought he was very interesting and wasn’t too freaked out about it. They both use asl, though Dons version is modified to fit his anatomy better. Casey and his sister are hoh, and Puck is their hearing sd. Donnie is semi-verbal and situationally mute. They can both communicate verbally, but typically prefer sign.
April is a nerd, and connects to the boys though mechanics. The three have a sort of refurbishing/renovating business on the side. She’s an only child with her single mom (Kirby) who is practically always working, but she’d do anything for her kid. April is also the only cishet main character, though she is eventually in a poly relationship with Donnie and Casey. Their dynamic is similar to 2012. She also happens to dislike dogs quite a lot at the start.
