I am BACK from my trip to Gettysburg! I added on a week in Richmond, Virginia, visiting three museums of the Confederacy, Appomattox National Park, and Monticello.

I made a LOT of artwork, and continued my “Before 10am” illustrated journal series every day (which you can always see on Instagram!).

I am busily pulling together all the artwork, scanning, setting up an exhibition and talk schedule, first in Half Moon Bay in November.

I was already told twice this morning that I look tired today. Thanks for weighing in, everyone! I had no idea I was so sleep-deprived until all of you told me first thing. That really helps.

I've made this rant before....

I am tired of the exceptions to the rules.I am tired of the exceptions being given to those who don't deserve it. I am tired of being the bad guy for calling them out. I am tired of people assuming I am out to ruin the fun for everyone. I am tired of underage people not staying out of 21+ venues. I am tired of bitches throwing shade because they don't like me calling them on it. If following the rules, and wanting to make it a safe environment for everyone is ruining fun... then fine. If wanting to help protect establishments I love is ruining the fun then fuck off. If you cannot understand a concept as simple as 21+... and be as selfish as you are then you are never okay in my book. Saying you are an adult and being an adult are entirely different concepts. I admit, I have in the past not said anything because quite frankly I don't like the abuse I get in the aftermath. I give zero shits at this point. From here on out if I see you personally, if I know you are not of age, if you do not get yourself seen out that door... I will make it so. I do not care if anybody gives me shit. I do not care if the people in the band end up hating me. I like the rules and I love when they get followed. Hate me all you want. Throw all the shade you want. At the end of the day I won't think twice about you and your incessant desire to be a pain in the ass child. I have been ruminating on this awhile and I keep getting told about underage individuals being places they do not belong. (I prefer to call them minors... because they are displaying behavior befitting a child. Selfish, inconsiderate, immature, and all together very idiotic behavior.) And I'm quite frankly tired of this bullshit. I have stopped going to certain venues and I have stopped supporting certain musicians because they are making very stupid choices to protect children who need to wait their time. I still love the musicians but my respect keeps getting reduced to shreds. I would love for my friends who are 20 to come hang with me at the bars I do frequent but they have respect for the establishments and will not try to come. They're A+ humans. And I'd rather have them there than an entitled brat or 3. But that's my opinion. This is my stance. You can hate it all you want. But you cannot get mad at me for wanting rules to be followed. For being a respectable adult who makes legit choices.
