Steve’s father isn’t anyone’s favorite person, least of all Billy.

So when he makes a snide comment about how his son is spending too much time with trailer trash riffraff, Billy is quick to retort just exactly what kind of salacious activities he and Steve get up to when they’re alone.

This prompts Steve to quickly force Billy out the door and drag him to the car before Mr Harrington can catch up to either of them.

It was not going to be a good time whenever Steve decided to go back home.

Steve is caught between an asshole and a freak place. Both of them have been seeing the jock, and neither really seems to care about the other but after some time Steve thinks they should all discuss this... relationship.

Though Billy and Eddie would much rather ride things while the high is there and times are good without worrying too much about what might come next.

When Steve hears from Dustin that Eddie didn’t make it, he refuses to accept it. Against everyone’s pleas he finds his way back into the upside down to search for the metal head. Eventually he finds Eddie curled up near the side of the trailer, clutching his bleeding stomach and trying desperately to stay hidden.

It takes some time but he’s able to limp Eddie along and get the two of them top side once more, they still can’t go back into town so they hide out temporarily at a motel until Eddie can get back on his feet again.

Eddie - What’m I supposed to do with that information huh?

Steve - You don’t have to do anything with it.

Eddie - So you just drop a bomb on me and expect me not to feel anything?

Steve - I didn’t say that

Eddie - So what are you saying?

Steve - I already told you!

Eddie - So what do you want me to say?!

Steve - I don’t know! That maybe you care about me too?

They’re both quiet, Eddie wide eyed and Steve rubbing his forehead now with the palms of his hands as he stands and paces across the room

Steve - Just forget it okay

Eddie - No, I don’t want to

Now their eyes meet, Eddie fidgets with his rings as he looks at Steve expectantly who furrows his brow and sighs

Steve - You’re a real pain in my ass y’know that?

Eddie grins as he looks down into his hands

Eddie - Sorry... M’not so good with this kinda stuff

Steve - Yeah I noticed
