How many serial killers are in this city? Why is no one stopping them!?

“I suppose it depends on your definition of serial killer, doesn’t it? Aside from our good friend Mr. Zsasz --- keep up the marvelous work, Victor, dear --- there are certainly a few who can fit the descriptor. Jason Todd certainly throws the age old Batman law of no killing out the window often enough to qualify, though I’m sure he’d argue the word. Arguments could be made for little Damian as well --- it seems Batman isn’t as conservative as he lets on when it’s his children holding the weapons. Bucky Barnes did wonderful work for us here at HYDRA before his unfortunate acquisition of a conscience. Your position is still open, Mr. Barnes. We’ve kept the seat warm for you. One could certainly call Erik Lehnsherr and Loki Laufeyson serial killers. What they do is really only a souped up version of it, after all. Erik’s even taken on his own little protégé in the form of the leather enthusiast variant of Superboy, if rumors are to be believed. It’s always nice to see the most violent of superhumans make new friends. Of course, none of these are quite as distasteful as Robbie Reyes. There’s something especially annoying about him. I suppose it could be my inability to forgive and forget. 

As for why no one is stopping them... it pays to have friends in high places, doesn’t it? Batman, Captain America, the X-Men, Thor, SHIELD... the people who are supposed to be stopping these criminals are the very ones excusing their actions. In Gotham, murder only earns you a sentence in Arkham if you’ve never worn a red R on your chest. And family ties seem far more important to most of these so-called heroes than the people they’ve promised to protect. Keep an eye on the sky, New York. When Superman decides to blast us all to kingdom come, you can be sure there will be a hoard of heroes just waiting to make excuses for him.”

Which character is most likely to fake their death? Who is most likely to not believe it? And who is most likely to actually bite the dust?

“Are we sure Sharon Carter hasn’t faked her death already? It seems very on brand for her to attempt it. I’m sure Mr. Rogers wouldn’t buy it if she did, but... that’s more due to his tendency to look on the bright side, isn’t it? And Mr. Barnes has a habit of dying. 

Bruce Wayne is certainly another candidate for pretending to die. He does have a tendency to lean towards the dramatic, after all. I’m sure none of his brood would believe it if he did. The most likely one of that crew to actually die depends on whether you’re disqualifying the ones who already have. Bats and mutants have a hard time keeping above ground, don’t they? I’d say Damian is the most likely to go next, if only because I have a hard time seeing how none of his siblings have killed him yet.”

is there another spider in town? what’s going on here

Probably. A new person in a spider-suit seems to pop up once a week in this town. I don’t understand the appeal. Eight legs are just as boring as two when you won’t use them to do anything fun, aren’t they? 

Although... With how torn up Mr. Parker is, maybe he will become a hair more interesting in the near future. I’d love to see how cleanly that spider strength can tear a man limb from limb, and what motivates violence more wonderfully than love? It’s certainly something to keep an eye on.

The Bat Fam has been laying low as of late. Do you think the incident at the park has anything to do with it? Do you think they're afraid? And if so, who do you think would likely be the first to register to keep the Enforcers off their back?

Do the Bats ever really come out of the dark? I thought justice, freedom and the American way under the cover of nightfall was their gig! We all had to expect that they wouldn’t be gung-ho for the Accords. Most people would say why bother trying to outrun authority when you can just take off the mask and be done with it, but I’m not most people. I know what they’re trying to do. I can appreciate it. I can especially appreciate Catwoman. After all, who doesn’t appreciate a nice watch after a long day of not working? Those who say adrenaline is its own reward are people who don’t aim high enough.

As to your question, I would suggest our resident cat burglar would sign up for the monetary incentive if I hadn’t been watching her so closely. She’s a hard one to tie down, so I doubt she’d sign on the dotted line. There’s the information specialist, and to keep her nose clean she might – but does the Bat’s lovely little family really have anyone without a rebellious streak?

Nightwing. Now that’s a guy who knows how to move through a city. He’s far too fond of freedom, though (even if I did hear whispers that he signed up to defend the good way of life when he’s out of his black and blue). Red Robin is a smart guy. Huntress is very angry.

I’m sure you’re getting the point. None of them are the obvious choice. I say it’s a matter of just how far any of them are pushed, and I’d be willing to stand behind them on the roof of a tall building if that’s what it takes.

who's the worst at being a hero? who's the best?

“Well, obviously some of them are just fooling themselves. I love my Jessie, but she’s never been hero material, has she? That Rogue isn’t quite built for it, either. Most of the X-Men aren’t, but sucking life forces and siphoning powers isn’t very heroic no matter how you use it. Magik’s the queen of Hell — tell me, where’s the heroism in that? It’s just a matter of time before Ms. Dane and Ms. Maximoff go the way of their father, too. Children always take after their parents, you know. That counts out little Karolina Dean and Nico Minoru as well, of course. And Gambit’s a thief. Obviously hero isn’t a word to be applied to him.

Now, the list of heroes who aren’t fooling themselves is a bit shorter. There are the obvious choices, of course. Captain America, Superman, Wonder Woman… choir boys and girl scouts, that lot. Colossus is certainly more heroic than his sister, though that’s a low bar to meet. Storm is probably the best of the X-Men, I do love a goddess. And Nightwing has always been my favorite bat.”

Thoughts on Lorna turning to her father? Dangerous or good?

The Magnet family has so much to unpack all the time, doesn’t it? Lorna Dane is a force of nature all on her own and her father has a reputation for ruthlessness. To the common people, that would be dangerous, wouldn’t it? But like Magneto, I enjoy shaping young minds to be the best at what they can be, they are often eager and ready to learn – but that’s not the only reason that little Lorna is turning to her father, now is it? In times like these, family should stick together, don’t you agree?

Speaking from experience, darling Magneto, don’t let her too close to your heart. Children have a way of cutting you to the quick if given the chance. And a heartbroken Magneto, would be just as dangerous as Lorna could be with the proper direction. That being said, Lorna, sweetie, if daddy fails you, you know where to find me.

Do you think the Enforcers are starting to feel good about themselves and the muscle they have now that they've rid the world of Scott Summers? He was a powerful mutant. He wasn't Magneto but a win's a win right?

I’m glad you guys are so interested in my thoughts on what went down in the park, because I’ve got a lot of them.

First thing I’m gonna say here is that there’s a difference between muscle and luck. I went down to the scene of the crime, you know. It’s smart, the way mutants do it. Burn everything up with their eyes or their fire, stop the humans from using their gadgets to track them down. You gotta admire their tenacity if nothing else – but blood stains stay whether you bleed red or blue (you cut a Nightcrawler, you gotta get some kind of shiny reward for it, right?). The shot Summers took was a lucky one. Not for him, of course. Lung involvement is a real son of a bitch. Painful as sin, not much chance of coming back from it, especially not when you get your buddy’s claws dug in your side. But in my professional opinion, the Enforcer got lucky.

And then he got dead. Doesn’t exactly paint a great picture of what humans with guns are capable of, huh? How long do you reckon it’ll be before the government comes knocking on my door asking for help?

If you want something done, you need to do it right. Fighting fire with water never works. You want to bring in enhanced individuals, you need enforcement agents with a bit of weight behind them too.

Iron Man might’ve been half decent, but Iron Man wasn’t there, was he? Talk about leaving your purse on the subway. A word of advice? Bring your big time players next time shit hits the fan, and your side might get more than dust to show for the victory next time.
