Okay, I liked the crossover. It was actually quite touching, and amusing for a April fools day joke. I really liked the moral, and the nostalgic checklist at the end, as well as all the meta jokes. It was nice. (And the idea of UG visting Billy and Mandy made me laugh out loud) I really appreciated that they said the episode was ‘non-cannon’ at the beginning because it helped me to overlook the, admittedly few, flaws that were to come.
Yes, pearl was a bit flanderized. It was non-canon and she was there to prove a point, so it worked.
Yes, they did kind of make fun of the SU fandom, and at the end, I was blushing in embarrassment, because when UG came out I did dislike it and rant about it some. But I wasn’t offened, because they were lovingly poking fun at the fandom.
Yes, even though I now have more respect for ‘uncle grandpa’ I still won’t be watching it as a show, mostly because I just don’t like watching things with no plot. Sorry.
I really liked the episode. It was funny, and interesting. But I am excited to get back into the plot next week!
