It’s hard for these kids with developmental delays or neurological conditions to have no motivation. That’s what worries me all the time. If no one pushes them then how are they going to know to keep going? God knows they already want more than they expect because they tell their parents “jump” and then momma coos, “how high, pumpkin?” If they didn’t want to put this much effort in a “normal” kid then what kind of parenting skill would they have had THEN?
