I’m sorry for bringing this discourse up again but ppl who view Zim as an adult/think he is one canonically genuinely sound like they’re defending predatory behavior a lot of the time. I’m fucking sick of acting like they aren’t.

Like when they try to defend Tak’s debut episode within their interpretation by saying “oh well it’s okay bc shes also Irken” No it fucking isn’t. He still thought she was a human child. If he was an adult that would literally be textbook definition of predatory behavior because in their interpretation that would mean that he was a grown ass man that attempting to basically woo over what he thought was a HUMAN CHILD. The fact Tak is also Irken would not matter in that case.
I fucking hate how many people genuinely take that fucking DELETED tweet made by Jhonen “Fandom Troll” Vasquez as canon. They don’t question the implications of what he says they just hear “oh well Jhonen said this” and throw their critical thinking skills out the window. It’s honestly really creepy and dare I say cult-like.
