Salutations Everyone!

So last week (July 18th) was my birthday so I decided to pack up my children in my little “soccer mom” vehicle and head to NYC for the week! We are having a blast, but I want to tell you about what happened last night!

My sister decided to take me out for drinks last night at Sugarcane Restaurant in Brooklyn. We got there, sat at the bar and as we were having our first drink, my sister and I were talking, and I stopped talking mid-sentence and said “OMG, Kifana, Beat Face Honey just walked in!” My sister turns and looks, and she’s like “Yep, that sure is her.” I swear I nearly fainted! For those of you who don’t know, Tatiana Ward a.k.a Beat Face Honey is a gorgeous, amazing and famous makeup artist whose journey to stardom is so inspiring!

I was dying to meet her, but man, my sister and I were outside all day, in the hot sun at the Tanger outlets in Long Island, and my makeup was not on point! I was like, out of all of these days, why did I have to see BFH on a day where my face is a sweaty hot mess?! I expressed to my sister that if I could get a picture with her, that would make this the best birthday ever! My sister was like “let’s go over,” I’m like “Really?!” I was so hesitant, I didn’t want to bother her, but man, as a makeup artist, meeting someone like Tatiana Ward is such an honor! So I gathered up the courage walk over to her table (after my big sister pushed me to LOL). I was so nervous! I was sweating, giggling and smiling uncontrollably (I’m such a loser LOL)! Let me tell you, she is even more gorgeous in person, and she is so nice! I asked her if I could get a picture with her, and she was like “Of course!” She got up, fixed her gorgeous hair, and took a pic with me; then she asked me if I liked the pic,or if I wanted to take another one: I told my sister to take 2 more pics for good luck! LOL In every pic, I’m smiling so hard, and you can absolutely tell that I was so excited to meet her!

Okay, so she is the most fabulous person in the makeup industry that I have ever met, and I’m still on cloud 9 from meeting her. LOL

She’s coming to Ottawa (only 2hrs away from me)  in August, and I am so excited!

    Road trip!!!!!
