2.) What are your characters most prominent physical features?

[ Probably the most striking aspect of Gilbert's appearance is his set of golden eyes. Though they are quite an intense color, the way in which he carries himself fails to offer them any genuine "power." He is timid in almost every conceivable way and lacks any confidence in his daily life. With plain black hair and an oddly boyish face despite his age, Gilbert turns more heads for his peculiar mannerisms than anything else. Everything else about him is largely unremarkable beyond that. (Though, some would argue that he's actually quite attractive -- at least amongst the household staff.) ]

1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

Gilbert does not readily speak of his father, but what little he remembers of him is this: emptiness. Something about his father always seemed sad and downtrodden, as if he bore the weight of the world on his shoulders -- and he did, although a humble one. Oft did he drown his sorrows and misfortunes in drink, and it was in one of his drunken stupors that -- they say, anyway -- he passed a cold night in a ditch and died of exposure.

Whether that be true or not, Gilbert does not know... and he certainly does not ask.

The brothers' mother is kind yet haunted by a perpetual state of exhaustion. Even before the untimely death of their father, she worked her fingers to the bone in order to provide for her family, and if not for an opportunity for employment at the Vessalius viscounty, they may have all met their slow demise in the lower end of Sablier.

Gilbert loves his mother dearly, and when not otherwise occupied by his work upon the estate, he looks after her and does his best to be sure she wants for nothing.
