Beignet Dash at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter
So for anyone who doesn't know a lot of Disney resorts are doing Fun Runs! Today I had the opportunity to participated in the fun run at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter.
If you are a fun run champion this is an awesome race for you! I would honestly give it an A+.
The Course is a mile and a half starting in french quarter, doing a lap in riverside and ending in french quarter. You go up a small hill or two, and over a bridge. The views along the course are absolutely wonderful. Having never been to New Orleans, I can not say whether it is really a resemblance, but the resort is beautiful.
This run is not crowded at all! There were maybe 15 runners there this morning. After talking to one of the children activities girl, Kaitlyn, she said their largest crowd was 120 runners over a holiday weekend. So moral of this story is, that this run happens EVERY SUNDAY, don't run on a holiday weekend, or it will be crowded. They do not do this run on RunDisney weekends because they done want to be “competing”.
The cost of this run is $15+tax. Which makes this a perfect weekend activity if you live in the area. The takeaways are awesome. With the run is complimentary bottles of water, a cute race bib, a “medal” of beads, and 3 complimentary beignets from the food court! That is an awesome steal for a fun run!
