加班儿 Working Overtime

我今晚总算跟我‘中国爸爸’讲话了。 明天是他生日所以打了电话要说两句。哈哈我妈妈第一句话就说 “臭孩子！你怎还没来到北京看看我呀？”  我以一年跟他们住了一起。 从第一天住，我们讲的话很少。 那一天我中文水平不够，又怕说什么，又怕说错。 但一年后，我们什么都明白了。 是因为他们天天保护我，天天跟我说说话，天天陪我去北京各种各样的地方。 嗨我真想他们。 听到我爸细声细气的儿话声我只会笑眯眯的那样子。 听着我妈妈柔软声音，我心充满了北京的回忆。

我上海的‘目标’就是说普通话要说的清楚一点。 同时，练习一些沪语。 但跟我北京父母说了话，我就马上回用特重的儿话。 Like super 严重的儿话。  如我说： “有时候儿到外面去v玩儿，但儿v晚上大部分我还儿加班儿啦。。。就儿那样儿。”

疼爱

今天做了Hinckley Institute of Politics 实习文章。每个星期得给他们写我工作的要求，我的目的，有一天的希望，根据committment to public service我怎做等。。。再说今天下雨了下得很大所以我没出去。中午吃了东北菜，炒茄子，宫保鸡丁（禽流感可都完了），还有驴肉饺子。蛮好的。晚饭时烤热了一下再吃一口。我正在修一下我的LinkedIn profile就因为在中国LinkedIn像明信片一样。关系现在都是在上网做的。。。。

 我天天走来走去的 “前公用胡同”。我恨不得回去。。。 I miss this hutong so much. I used to walk through here almost every day for vegetables and an excuse to talk to the old people. Perhaps my most memorable was when we broke I broke the ice and said "吃了吗您呢？“ After that the locals and I just went all out discussing any and every similarity, difference, and myth on U.S-China politics, society and culture.
