There are definitely cases where it’s obvious but i think ppl can sometimes assume sealioning too quick like some people are legitimately asking. Doesnt mean youre obligated to answer or be an educator i just sometimes see people jump to thinking someones trying to pull one over on them. Tangentially i feel like people saw “dont debate [reactionary]” and took it to mean “never explain your ideology ever”

*whispers* decimate means to destroy 1/10th of something so when you’re talking about a population or location (”San Francisco was decimated in a terrible earthquake”) that’s really fucking terrible but on a smaller scale (”Man I really decimated my dinner tonight”) it doesn’t mean very much at all
