A lovely night at Lodge, where I with met a couple of new candidates who both seem fantastic, and saw my immediate senior who was buzzing from being initiated last week, and got to shake hands with my proposer and seconder, both Brothers with a lot of experience and a lot of cachet. I was honestly deeply moved at that - I know that there is a lot "behind the scenes" about who is eligible to propose and second a candidate, but these two brothers were ones that I really feel like I've been getting on with, and like we have a lot in common, so it has been lovely to get something that feels a little like the respect is mutual.
There is a real sense that the Lodge is alive - Having the queue of us all preparing to be taken onboard, as well as the three Entered Apprentices, all of us fired up to start our journey together, seems like something that the Lodge hasn't had in a while.
