Being Modern

Since some time now I am unable to enjoy 24/7 electronic entertainment.

I like being with nature.

I am having difficulties in shrugging off my responsibilities.

No matter even if it makes me look bad.

I am becoming terrible in saying a lie, at what ever cost.

I don’t feel I should hide anything from anyone.

I can’t stop myself from voicing against a wrong.

It’s converting into my instincts.

I am unable to accept the criticism of old ways and rituals on the face of it.

I find logic in them.

I can’t see evil as an evil in totality.

I see reason behind its nature.

I am not sure any more about what’s fashion;

To follow trend or comfort.

I feel systems of society are worth following;

Only if we exclude the ills that have crept in.

I believe in love, sanctity, commitment and loyalty.

I don’t understand the modern live-ins and extramaritals.

I am unable to talk to the modern people who are running blindly to break norms in the name of being modern.

I know I am different;

And don’t know how much of it is right.

But I am not an extremist or a religionist or an orthodox.

I am just not a hypocrite who will except anything to portray that, I am modern;

And I am definitely not a opportunist who wants to satisfy my personal desires in the name of being modern.

I am sensing myself moving towards being modern;

Just not the way, the world around e is heading towards.
