Dosed
The music was too loud to notice when my thoughts began slipping sideways laughter stretched thin faces melting into strangers I swore I’d known minutes before
The room tilted gently at first like maybe it was apologizing and then the floor forgot my name
Voices echoed underwater Hands brushed past me and I couldn’t tell which ones were real
Time broke into missing pieces holes punched clean through the night I remember blinking then nothing then panic blooming late
When I woke, the world felt borrowed my body heavy with questions my memory refused to answer
Everyone said it was “just a party” but fear lingered long after the bass stopped shaking the walls
I scrubbed the night from my skin but it stayed behind my eyes that quiet terror of not knowing what was taken while I wasn’t allowed to choose
Now crowds make my chest tighten cups left unattended look like threats trust feels fragile as glass
It stole more than a night from me they taught my joy to flinch
