Okay - the necklace was done, and was a success! So now Kyle was outside, in the forest, looking for a branch that he could fashion into a staff - he was such a geek but...the idea had a grip on him and the ability to wield a staff and have it be magical was just funny, and sounded awesome in his head!
He stepped on a particularly loud twig, the snap resonating as he continued past some trees, all the branches so far being too short, or having snapped or...just being inadequate in some way
