Being Unemployed!

Aha… is this a feeling? Oh... wait it's just a phase… hmm… Let me think about it again, I believe it's a catastrophic life disaster, and I am never recovering... THE END. Honestly even this doesn't feel right, oh wait I got it this time… it's like living in an empty space, where one doesn't have any roots for their tree. This tree is big which we've watered over the years by working hard, by building something, by constantly working on a goal year after year. It's also a sapling for a graduate which is watered by imagination and a promise of a dream of becoming a tree someday.

Being unemployed is like trying to walk in space without a harness. It takes away your confidence, your spirit from you. And if at all you dare to smile during this phase, people around you can be shocked as ... Oh, I just saw you smile! And it leaves you wondering, should I just cry.

Being unemployed is like living in a dungeon, it's dark, it stinks, it kills your soul every passing moment. It makes you hypersensitive. And with each passing day, your mind plays the blame game, sometimes you blame yourself and at times its someone else.

Being unemployed is an emotional roller coaster, you wake up every day with new hopes and aspirations. You make goals like applying so and so number of jobs, reaching out to unknown people and hoping of them to show you a ray of hope, learning new things online every day and hoping it will pay off somehow, investing hours to research on new thing each day and hoping it may strike with your goal of being employed.

We all fail miserably each day; some days are better than others. Nights, oh well they are empty as hell, you are tired but you want to scream at yourself of thinking that you want to sleep, but Humans right. We do sleep and here is the next morning again, staring you at your face again. We run in our apartments to pursue our goals again. Each day, we sit close to phones to get that one call, where you can prove, that you have it in you. That you are the best asset they are ever going to hire. We all are going through this; I know it is a constant fight with ourselves. We hide our tears and put on a brave face each day, we suck it up and do what we got to do. I believe, it will all be over some fine glorious day. I want to give up too, but I won't quit, I am stubborn for a reason.
