"i see you in the mirror" the mirror is reflecting back the memories they had together, which hasnt gone off her mind since saturday. "can't yet you off my radar" is also about not having forgotten yoonchae xx. megan's head is still spinning, still going crazy for yoonchae but she's living in the past (time in retrograde) (omg i had a fic just like this LMAO)

yoonchae's part is mourning (if we could just rewind us for a day) what they could have had while also missing megan. she's still in love like (still falling for you) but she doesnt wanna accept it (still running from you). bel air is one of the residential areas in la that is like luxury and stuff so "i'd drive you up to bel air" means "i'll treat u good" so they dont break up?? type shit. "we wouldn't be the ones who got away" uhh idk about this one yet

the concept of 2 verses being meichae

yoonchae's part is the late night crying bc she misses megan. her eyes are hazy, vision blurry from the shimmer of the tears. she dreams about megan still being there, whispering loving words into her ears and she feels like she almost goes crazy because megan isn't there with her anymore. "letting the pillow kiss away my tears" is stuffing her face in her pillow and i believe the choice of words here is because she remembers megan giving her a kis where her tears used to fall and now it's just a damn pillow.

"still falling for ya, still running for ya" is the same but like LMAO why the "ya" maybe it's megan's american side embracing her idk. same with "i'd drive you up to bel air". "but i know what we'd do if you were here" is megan realizing what they could have done to save their relationship but TOO BAD they broke up boo hoo. but they were bound to break up anyways, their rls was never meant to last. treating yoonchae well does not gurantee a long and steady relationship, it just makes them live in the moment where they think they're okay but they're actually not and they'll still have to split some time in the future (pretend we could survive another year)

Skipped Hootie Frutti on my listen of the album because I made up my mind about the song already. I tried after I got through it, but I had to switch it off. Part of me wanted to like it, I just can't, it's not for me. Don't see myself revisiting this ep later. I like little bits, like the pre chrous excluding the lyrics, and the start of the 'hootie frutt' chant, even though it went on too long. It'll hard AF in the gay bars though, I see why some fans would eat it up. No hate whatsoever to the girls. I love them, I truly do.

(Didn't get to hear the legendary sounding 'unloveu' for obvious reasons)

Bel Air was actually interesting (in a positive way lol) it was refreshing and I wish we got more of that, though the bridge was just lazy imo. Even Animal's bridge is better (I mean lyrically. Animal is one of their best songs vocally)

That Way sounds more rooted in kpop without being sung in Korean imo 🤣 again, I had mixed feelings about this song but it's one of their better ones.
