Mind-Full was inspired by sleepless nights and over thinking. I can't sleep when I have a mind full of thoughts. I often have my best ideas at night; when my brain has had a day full of stimuli. Mind-Full is a portrait of how I feel in the morning after a sleepless night full of ideas. I have so much going on in my brain that I don't know where to start. Crisp lines and blurred lines blend together in harmony in this portrait. The figure is tired but, yet alert and full of energy. Bull in Red, White, and Black was inspired by vintage bullfighting posters, Henri Matisse etchings, Picasso's cubist period, and Miro's whimsical creations. I love vintage posters and I wanted to create my own version. I wanted to keep the lines minimal and let the colors do all the talking.
