oof I went to my first pride parade today!! Typical rainy day for Belfast but it was still a fun time :) (and hopefully it's the last before gay marriage is finally legalised in my country)

I went to pride for the first time yesterday and i, a fucking teenager and obviously a teenager, got yelled at by an adult woman with a megaphone that I was going to hell cause of the rainbow round my back. On a happier note I got a chocolate muffin and acceptance. So fuck you megaphone bitch

I had the most amazing time at Belfast Pride with such a fabulous group of people. Every year I’m reminded by how much support there is in our wee country. Despite the prominent lack of rights and vicious discrimination from our own government. Seeing 50 pathetic protestors drowned out by thousands upon thousands of people cheering, smiling, applauding, it never fails to warm my heart. We are not silent. We will not go down without a fight. We are here and proud and we will not stop until we have the same right as everyone else. This is Pride. A demonstration first and foremost. And I couldn’t be happier than to share it with some of the people who mean the most to me 💖
