Bella lay her head back on the bed. She wasn't the least bit worried about what was to come. In fact, she was excited. She knew it was the beginning of the end for some people, but that didn't concern her. It wasn't like she didn't care. But, she was trying to win a restaurant not fix a family or the brand of a show. She would leave that to Faye and the others. Her focus would be solely on winning.
"Not sitting with the others?" Violet asked.
Bella looked up, unaware that the woman had joined her. During all of this, she seemed to be wandering, not committing to here nor there. She stayed pretty neutral, a technique Bella herself had adopted during the competition. She had been friendly with the other contestants, but she didn't really want to fall in love, or get too attached to someone. She was dreading turning Tom down when she thought he had feelings for her. It was refreshing to see him with Faye. He seemed really invested in their friendship, enough to give up his spot in the competition for her. She looked like she felt the same way. And Dorsey, Jade and Sonny? A whole other level of complicated. She just wanted to cook. "Not yet."
"I heard the big honchos from Sim Star Idol are here." She sat down on the bed across form Bella. "Exciting stuff. If you're into it."
"I teach at a culinary school," Violet said. "This whole fame thing is new to me."
"I think you're doing great." Both girls looked up to the new voice.
"Kyle Lawrence?" Violet's eyes widened. "You are a legend, dude."
"Are you starstruck?" The man chuckled. "Because I'm a huge fan of both of you. Been team Bella since day one. Besides, I think legend is too high of an accolade."
"Me?" Bella smiled. "Thank you so much. But you are a legend. I wish I could cook on your level."
