@slytherco has been a dear friend for nearly two years, and today on her birthday felt like the right moment to celebrate some of the absolutely stunning art she has created and shared with us all. These are some choice favourites (yes, it took me a while to restrain myself to just 4) and each piece shows something I love about her art.

@babooshkart is someone I first met in dms here on Tumblr, and she’s been a joy and a light in my life ever since. An artist with a keen eye for light and tone, her creations are filled with warmth, intimacy, love, romance, and all the sensual pleasures of life—from homemade food to feasting on your lover.

Every image captures a moment so vividly you can almost smell the freshly baked bread, taste the bright citrus of an orange slice, and feel the warmth of home. There’s an inherent generosity of spirit and deep love for the characters in every piece she has shared with the fandom; her art is a haven for both drarry and us as viewers.

Every story has such a distinct vibe and feel, and there’s a cinematic aesthetic and real emotional depth to every single one.

Whether it’s humour, drama, heartbreak, or scorching smut, slytherco handles them all with her characteristic style and grace; there’s a perfect balance between those poignant observations, flashes of humour, and the slick coolness of her imagery and use of tropes.

It's hard to put a finger on exactly when it tipped from the occasional off-hand observation into something more gripping, but suffice to say it's now getting a touch out-of-hand. Hands. It's Potter's hands. He's obsessed with Potter's hands.

@maesterchill is an incredibly talented writer and artist who I discovered back in late 2018 when I got back into the drarry fandom; I fell in love with her work long before discovering what a wonderful human she is!

First I feasted on her bold, stylish, story-packed art—instantly recognisable and so unique—and then I dived into her writing.

Maester has the rare talent to balance humour, insight, emotion, and the kind of physical descriptions that make you feel what you read. She is experimental, inventive, and so dynamic in her writing that you’ll be taken on a completely fresh journey with each story, and you will love every single one.

My advice: don’t forget to indulge in every single drabble—they are worlds of their own, full and rich and utterly delicious.
