where james is fresh out his abusive relationship with bellatrix (where she made him participate in cannibalism with her) & the man is going off with his newfound freedom mixed into his new norm of killing & eating to live. sirius helped him get out of there but now has james crashing at his & the man is litr trying to woo him by bringing home dead bodies & cooking them for him, killing all his family members (which is also partially about james' own healing journey), constantly getting into arguments with strangers on the street which more often than not ends with him getting blood all over himself & another body to wrap up & put in the trunk, & if he isn't doing that then hes talking to himself or picking apart body parts like a stress toy. & then james will eventually crash out & fall asleep on the sofa & snore softly, chest rising up & down slowly, snuggling against sirius & sirius will forget all about the bloodstains in his truck bcs james hums so sweetly when he plays with his hair

& i'm a lesbian but both sides are very hot on him (trust me). tho peter prefers his unhinged side, remus prefers his calm side, & sirius & lily are big fans of Both. however in a diff way to how bellatrix did like. with her she brought out that unhinged side to make him Match her & forced him to act in a way that went against what he was comfortable with doing & then bcs they've broken up but james is still very much stuck in that past of what he is used to doing, he still acts in the way bellatrix made him, so overtime hes trying to reclaim that unhinged & murderous part of him into something more akin to himself and killing the members of the black family is kinda his way on working towards that & sirius & lily are very very supportive of this goal (sirius a little less so. he doesn't particularly want his family dying off & being fed them but like. yknow james is his best mate. gotta do what y gotta do)
