so i just finished reading the ultimate teddy bear book by pauline cockrill, and as i’ve mentioned before; all my interests must go back to the marauders.

so i’ve given remus lupin an interest in teddy bears too.

for starters, remus’s pop culture knowledge is so limited. (credits to @enbysiriusblack for the childhood of remus) i think he was homeschooled and raised pretty isolated in a village in wales. helps with farm stuff, has a passion for reading (his childhood favorite book is the wind in the willows), gardening, knitting, and imaginative games.

the most mainstream things he knows are winnie the pooh and paddington bear, who he learned about through the radio and immediately fell in love. i can imagine 13 year old remus desperately wanting to go see the paddington stage adaptation. he also probably used rupert bear stamps.

since he doesn’t have any people friends i can imagine he’d spend time with stuffed animals. and he’d knit them different outfits! mittens, jumpers, scarves, hats, dungarees and even tabards and a little felt shield with a painted red dragon.

#i love this !!#so him #i can see him bringing one of the stuffed bears (in its knitted outfit) with him to hogwarts but keeps it in his trunk or under his pillow #(or maybe actually doesn't realise it could be seen as childish & puts it on his nightstand without realising they might make fun of him)

yess. i usually run a dorlene fest in july but i'm rlly busy this month so not doing it this year, but thought i should still have a bit of dorcas or marls on my blog
