Healer || Sebastian & Jesse
Much of what had happened at the ship had become more of a story to Jesse than it was an actual memory. He knew that the plan was to go down after Lauren, check out her injuries, and send her back up to safety. He knew that it didn’t go as planned, clearly. But there were holes in his memory during the in between - he remembered meeting with Evan and Mason to discuss their plan of action. Then...nothing. Flickers of things that he wasn’t even sure constituted memories, Evan and Mason’s voices, finding Lauren in a dizzy, fuzzy vision...pain.
He didn’t remember getting out, he didn’t remember any sort of treatment - hell, he barely remembered a good majority of the trip back to camp. But he’d heard plenty; Rhys was gone, almost certainly dead. Evan, Mason, and Lauren were all in more or less good shape. Aside from Rhys - everyone had returned to camp safely, with a few broken bones spread among them. They had recovered a decent amount of supplies...
Yes Jesse didn’t feel as if it was all that successful. He supposed they got what they went for, but he’d lost so much more. He’d lost a friend, a part of his family. He’d nearly died himself. Had it been worth it?
Depending on when you asked him, his answer might vary.
He’d also heard that Sebastian had been the one that was there to take care of the injured and he only had to assume the man had been most responsible for saving his life. Sora had been reminding him again and again (and again) of the need to return to the clinic here and there for check ups (just to be safe, she said). As much as he despised medical facilities, he knew she was probably right. He’d made it this far, he wasn’t about to let his health be set back by something that could be easily addressed. He wanted to get back in action as soon as possible.
So that was what brought him to the clinic today, to make sure things were healing like they were supposed to be. Maybe he’d even be lucky and get the a-okay (which he knew was far from possible, but a guy could hope.)
He hesitated at the entryway to the clinic before stepping in and finding a man stooped over some kind of work. He lifted a hand to pull his fingers awkwardly through his hair, scratching the back of his neck, before clearing his throat. “Uh, hey. Sebastian, right?”
