Back in April, I was asked to take on a cosplay commission for the Glorious Sea Dog jacket from Sea of Thieves by someone near and dear to my heart- my little sisters. Despite being in college full-time and the deadline being June, I knew I had to take this project on- especially after learning the original artist they'd hired suddenly abandoned the project.

I had never done anything like this before, and it was my first time patterning clothes. Over the course of the four months I worked on it, I learned a ton of new skills, including accidentally teaching myself to quilt.

Seven prototypes later, and much blood, sweat, tears, and sleepless nights, it was finished with less than an hour before the deadline. But it was all worth it when I saw the finished cosplay debut at SOTfest 2024.

Thank you so much for commissioning me, Veri and Beth. This was an experience of a lifetime.

I wanted to draw something for my 3 years anniversary since I started playing Sea of Thieves (December 30th), but I was so tired of grinding for gold blessing, I had no ideas what to draw back then. But today I got some inspiration and here we are.

Had a lot of fun drawing Sea of Thieves pirates lately. The costume and character designs are just so neat!
