Glorious
“Welcome one and welcome all!”
How long, I have waited,
To say these words, upon a page,
That I haven’t, yet, updated.
Haven’t written, haven’t typed,
Haven’t touched or even loaded.
Nothing at all, except those words,
Existed, until I started, this poem.
Now I write, from a blank mind,
Letting, simply, the words flow.
Where it comes or where it leads,
I honestly, don’t know.
How amazing though, the words feel,
Escaping, now they’re free.
Liberated, from darkest corners,
Of which, they had, no need.
As all this time, instead of flying,
I sank, cause “Woe is me!
How sad I am, in the Doldrums sand,
That’s pulling, at, my feet.”
But now, it’s all, so different,
And I feel, the energy.
I’m lighter now, without the weight,
Of you, pulling down, on me.
So here I am, the better man,
The best, that I can be.
Cover your eyes, shield your surprise,
As I stand GREAT! As I, am, Me.
