Did some stash diving to find a yarn to pair with a sparkly gold yarn a friend no longer wanted and I just had to have. I started this on January 4th this year and didn’t touch it again until about a week or two ago. I did follow a pattern somewhat, but took some great liberties with it. I used five different colors of yarn, and tried making a gradient or ombré effect with them. I held one strand of yarn together with the gold yarn. I changed the colored yarn after two pattern repeats, but never cut the gold. I just kept going until the gold ran out. In fact, about the last 10 stitches of the bind off doesn’t have any gold in it as it ran out just before. I also went up in needle size, used 15 instead of the 11 called for. I did a quick steam blocking then tried to find somewhere outside still in the sun to get a good pic. Tall flowers and a random stack of wood works when I’m in a hurry. 🤣 Pattern is Be My Honeybee by Suzanne Middlebrooks, on Ravelry. Yarn was unlabeled from my stash. #yarn #wrap #scarf #bemyhoneybee @suzannemiddlebrooks @hi.ravelry #ravelry #gradient #ombre #yarn #knitting #goldsparkly #knittersofinstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CCE95_WjgmN/?igshid=1190eln8ekzd2
