“Man, it’s so good you’re here! You’re not gonna believe it!” Hal practically screamed with excitement the second he opened his door to find Ben on the other side. He’d told his friend he had big news and everything about the way he walked and talked made it very clear it was an ‘I got and invention to work beautifully’ kind of big news. “I started tinkering with some stuff, I was doing some work with magical runes and different metals, testing alloys that serve as better conduits for magic-” the inventor rambled as he led Ben to his garage/workshop “and boom, I made this beauty” Hal said with reverence and undeniable excitement as he handed over a wristwatch to the nymph. It was a finely crafted piece with a carefully polished chrome finish. The dial was lighter in color and next to the numbers there were small linear carvings. Water runes. “You wear that and you’ll stop having troubles with your powers, man. The runes enhance your hydrokinetic skills and the dial actually turns dark when you need to recharge it- you know, in water”. A proud grin crossed Hal’s lips “Mindblowingly awesome, right!?”.
