I think part of the reason I love Warcraft so much - even the books and shit - are that the whole universe kind of makes me feel like a kid again. The series as a whole was just such an important part of my growing up, from Tides of Darkness to Reign of Chaos to World. The universe is just so familiar and loved and fun. Playing around in Azeroth is like coming home.
