Stephen King’s “Lisey’s Story” Adaptation in the Works

Apple has given an adaptation of Stephen King’s Lisey’s Story an eight-episode, straight-to-series order with King writing all eight episodes himself. Julianne Moore is set to star as Lisey. The series will be executive produced by King, Moore, J.J. Abrams, and Bad Robot Productions’ Ben Stephenson.

Lisey’s Story follows Lisey Debusher Landon, a widow who begins the story trying to sort through her deceased husband’s papers. As Lisey sorts through her novelist husband’s life, her journey will take her into the dark place that he went, “a place that both terrified and healed him, could eat him alive or give him the ideas he needed in order to live.”
