The Kyoshi Warriors Join the War Against the Fire Nation in "Avatar: The Last Airbender - Kyoshi Warriors"

Dark Horse, in collaboration with Avatar Studios and Avatar: The Last Airbender co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, are releasing a tale following the Kyoshi Warriors as they leave Kyoshi Island to join the war against the Fire Nation. Avatar: The Last Airbender - Kyoshi Warriors hails from writer Brandon Hoáng, artists BellBessa and Xanthe Bouma, colorist Adele Matera, and letterer Jimmy Betancourt from Comiccraft.

"Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors leave their island home to join the war against the Fire Nation. Met with suspicion and resentment by the mainlanders, they struggle to prove their worth to the Earth Kingdom. But when that opportunity arises, will they be willing to compromise their values as Kyoshi Warriors to embrace it?"

Summer of Supergirl Continues with Summer of Supergirl Special #1 One-Shot

DC Comics has announced a 48-page Summer of Supergirl one-shot. Summer of Supergirl Special #1 will contain three stories celebrating Kara Zor-El. Supergirl faces off against Lobo in the lead story by Sophie Campbell and Belén Ortega. The anthology also contains two bonus stories, one by Mark Waid and Cian Tormey and the other by Gail Simone and Emma Kubert.

Summer of Supergirl Special #1 goes on sale on June 24, 2026. The main cover by by Belén Ortega with variant covers by Tula Loray and Pablo Villalobos and a Supergirl movie variant cover by Mahmud Asrar.

Gargoyles Comics Enter New Era

Dynamite Entertainment has announced the start of the next era of Gargoyles comics. Set in 1997, the new Gargoyles #1 is written by Greg Weisman, illustrated by Gerardo Gambone, colored by Robby Bevard, and lettered by Jeff Eckleberry.

"The titular Gargoyles only have eggs every 20 years, and the Manhattan Clan at the center of the saga have been keeping care of one playfully nicknamed "Egwardo." The only problem is — it's been stolen by arch-enemy Demona! As the Defenders of the Night try desperately to track down the egg, they're also faced with an awakened ancient, all-powerful evil with a vendetta against the entire world." Gargoyles #1 goes on sale in August 2026. Covers for the debut issue are by Meghan Hetrick, Sebastian Piriz, Drew Moss, and Frank Paur. The debut issue will also be sold in premium mystery blind bags containing three copies of the issue and featuring limited edition covers and exclusive variations.
