Well this was a really sexy surprise, I´ve read several books from Meghan and I loved them, but this series is different, I can´t put my finger on what, but I just know that I am going to love every character in this serie.
Charlie (Charlotte) has had a privileged life, she was a princess in Manhattan, but in just one glimpse everything falls apart, and the risk of falling with her family is so big she knows that even though she has nothing to do with that, she´s going to take the fall as well; so she decides to run and hide, to change all that she knew, to become a different woman.
Simon is the golden boy, the veteran whose family is on top of the politics; and the path he´s running is taking him to be one of the most important in New Orleans, that is until he meets this amazing yet so different woman he can´t stop thinking about; he knows she´s got secrets and he´s willing to wait for her to come forward but maybe time is not something they have, and Charlie is not willing to risk everything she has changed only to be discovered with Simon, she knows she can ruin him with her secrets, and as much as she wants to be with him, that can´t happen without getting discovered.
I am so glad I found this first book in my “To read” list, I know I´m going o devour every book in this series, and just know that this is a different story, we have the good boy and the mystery girl, and that is for sure a winner for me when Meghan March is writing.
