Tara my beloved. Family was an amazing episode and I really love how tara was able to tell her dad to “just go” and be with the family she chose for herself . Also the episode is like textually transfeminine and hits different when you read the comics as tara is canonically a trans girl(and she’s also a canon lesbian too, which is really awesome, we need more transfem sapphics/lesbians in popular media)

In amongst all the purity culture of btvs I always felt very grateful for Tara because I felt like she had the total right reaction. Like Buffy tells her she’s been sleeping with Spike and her reaction is just oh! :) well do you love him?
