I love Koujaku, I really do, but what is he trying to prove? He’s a 27-year old man who is always wanting to pick a fight with a 19 year old kid (20 is adult in Japan). All the members of Benishigure also look like adults around Koujaku’s age while most of the Ruff Rabbit members look no older than Noiz. Some look as young as 16. This is one of the reasons why I don’t care for Ribsteez gangs. While you do have to worry about an occasional drive-by Rhyme battle, at least Rhyme players are not constantly looking to beat people up just because they don’t share interest in the same games.

I bet that the second the benishigure find out that Koujaku is dating Aoba, they would 100% use that info to fuck with Aoba every chance they can.

They see Aoba on the street, they bow very deeply to show respect, with their expressions so somber and serious that you can tell it went past actual respect and straight into mockery a long time ago- the older members are in on the joke, but the never ones think that they are seriously supposed to treat Aoba like a prince every time they're in the vicinity. When they all go to a bar or something, the benishigure all insist on taking Aoba's bag and jacket, pulling back his chair, pouring him drinks, that sort of thing. They pretty much treat him like a mob wife 😭

Aoba hates it, of course- he doesn't want to draw more attention than necessary to himself or his relationship, and he certainly doesn't need everyone in the gang treating him like some fragile flower who had crawled out of Platinum Jail and got lost.

Koujaku mostly stands on the sidelines and watches- he thinks Aoba looks cute when he's annoyed/pouting, and he knows that Aoba knows it's just dudes being stupid and they all like and respect him. He trusts his men to know how to toe the line between playful ribbing and taking it too far.
