A post a long time in coming and slightly different from the usual. Benjamin Farnum House Andover, MA 1858
The Farnum house was designed by John Fraser. A rendering of it was exhibited at PAFA while a young Frank Furness trained in his office, but long before Furness would become a partner in Fraser’s firm. This painting probably isn’t the Fraser rendering but offers a glimpse into the work that Furness would see and help with while learning the trade.
