A deep breath was taken to let the wolf’s scent in again. His blood was certainly different than a regular human. “I would not say crap -- just different.” He was being polite, lips pressed together as he tried not to smile. There was a certain bitterness to the blood that wasn’t all that appealing from an ‘next meal’ perspective. Probably much to the pack’s relief. Benjamin had assumed Jacob was apologizing just because it was, well blood. Yet the Egyptian vampire had always had remarkable control. Not over everything though. That smile broke wide, teeth barring friendly with a slight tilt of his head. “ I can’t speak for Edward or anyone else but it does not bother me personally.”

Tulip wishes for me to tell you that they are pointing and laughing, while I think it is rude, I will have to agree with them with the humourous situation.

Humorous. I doubt you will get that silence you wish for, but I am sure it is not a horrible time with your companions in your headspace.

They were. Tulip still has some doubts but I am here now whether they like it or not.

They had guests. What a treat. Benjamin could hear the sound of voices coming from the temple’s pool room. Unfamiliar. Male voices. Quiet feet took Benjamin out of his room, down the long hallway so he could peer around and put his curiosity to rest. Amun shot a glance at him over a blond vampire’s shoulder to his protege. The whole not seen nor heard concept had never been something Benjamin was fond of. If Amun had friends here, Benjamin wanted to meet them. Benjamin smiled as Carlisle turned to follow Amun’s line of sight. Red eyes shifted between him and the other, rather tall vampire with him. 

Amun looked subtly upset with him and Benjamin knew it but he got a certain spark of fun from it and gracefully walked over, into an open arm from his leader who gripped a hand over his shoulder. “This is Benjamin a member of my coven. Benjamin this is Carlisle and Emmett,” Amun said tensely, gesturing to each vampire in turn, still maintaining his grip on his progeny. Benjamin didn’t seem to care and just nodded over at their guests. “It is a pleasure to meet you both. -- Amun seldom lets me meet his friends,” he added with a glance over to Amun with quirked lips. It was an obvious fun prod and Amun looked to Carlisle like he was exhausted.

What an interesting question to be asked. Truly it was especially since he didn’t know Emmett very well yet. What better way to get to know someone than to ask the deeper questions. Though in this case, Benjamin figured he was referring more to his gift. He’d just finished demonstrating creating a small crack in the earth that splintered forward and split a large bolder clean in two. Benjamin was seated now with crossed legs and his palms flat on the ground before he returned them to rest in his lap.

Red eyes looked up at the Cullen vampire with interest. “I can feel a lot of different things beyond just what being a vampire gifts you with. It’s more of a sense. Something like strings I know I can pull on. For example,” he shifted his eyes and pointed off into another direction. “There’s a fault line about three thousand meters east of us in a field. I feel very connected to the earth when I focus. It feels powerful, to be me,” he added quietly. Not something he thought about very much, Amun more so did than he did. That’s why he was so fond of him. One of the reasons. “Does that answer your question? Or is there something specific you’re curious about Emmett?”

“Isn’t it great?” Benjamin replied immediately with a big smile before he forced it back down to look more serious. “Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want anything of issue to arise but this is all very exciting for me.” Having been cooped up in a temple for nearly 200 years had that effect on a guy. Even just this, interacting with a werewolf was neat. He’d never met one. Never heard much about them apart from human ideas about them. He didn’t understand that they had an inherent feud between their kinds. Not like the rest of the covens seemed to understand. It was probably why he felt at ease to step up closer to Paul. Not quite invading his personal bubble but certainly inviting himself in close to it. Benjamin had a very cheerful and chill disposition. Like he cared a great deal but at the same time was careless. 

“Does it worry you? I find a lot of comfort in our numbers. Everyone is very different but that’s what I like about it.”
