The player character in Home is able to collect various objects and implements from the environment, or choose to leave them where they are, and while some of them will have immediate usage (such as a key opening a hatch), others are more elusive in regards to what they’re supposed to be used for, such as a knife found next to a corpse. However, all of these serve a narrative function, though they may not be immediately apparent, and gaining a greater understanding of them in the context of the elusive narrative of the game is necessary to reach a satisfactory conclusion to all the mysteries presented therein.
