um forgive me for taking a bit to answer, i went a little crazy with the tiny doodles i wanted to make,, thank you for this ask, it possessed me into making these )). um yeah so little (read: very) rambly talk about the drawings:

1. i really like drawing fresh going through the motions of processing emotion hehe. although usually the result is me depicting him going through some mental warfare shit like some unseen body horror. something about the idea of being trapped in your body as it changes around you without your control or understanding is very appealing to me, but i do still like fluff! so uh sometimes swap and error will show fresh kindness and affection and he’s just a little lost. swap is like crazy patient with him, he’s got all the time in the world and an infinite amount of love to give. he gets a little in his head with insecurity sometimes but fresh is surprisingly quite reassuring. he says things in a sort of indirect way where he doesn’t fully realise the emotion under it but it comforts swap nonetheless. error gets a smidge frustrated sometimes but it’s really just him getting embarrassed with either how forward fresh is or the fact that he has to initiate. he doesn’t hate fresh for it or anything, they both need to go slow in different ways and they do that for each other. i’m losing it a little so i’m stopping now, i just adore when they care for each other and they’re so slowburn and i hhhhaaaa.

2. i have this hc that error likes wearing his partner’s clothes! because touch can be a struggle, and wearing their clothes gives a feeling of closeness cos it’ll keep some of their body tempt and smell like them and looking at it reminds him of them and whatever andkdowjsop

3. um fresh will just pick people up sometimes, especially to get them to go somewhere and if he hangs out with you a lot (error and swap) you get the brunt of it a lot lol. he does check that error’s ok with touch in that moment of course. swap doesn’t get a choice L.

i need y’all to know that the reason i think error is a peaceful sleeper is because he’s like when you have a busted ass laptop that makes the most abhorrent dying noise 24/7 but then you turn it off and suddenly you know the sound of true silence. (big ramble in the tags oops)

You’ve gotten me hooked on BlueSillyString. So I have a strange question that I need to ask.

Do you think fresh would be surprised if error was granted tall privilege for an hour?

i’m glad you’re enjoying the sillies! and i adore strange questions don’t you worry )) now allow me to strangely answer hehe.

i could go many a humorous route… fresh being spooked or not recognising him like a cat with a cucumber. perhaps him being frustrated with error not being so tiny anymore, not being able to make short jokes and all. maybe he’d find it cool; they’re matching now, you know?

and though i’m speaking of these as though i’m to dismiss them, i wouldn’t! at least not for others. because take blue for example, i think he likes being bigger than error. suddenly finding error to be tall would… annoy him maybe hehe. ink would find it funny, nightmare would find it unhelpful, dream would find it… unsettlingly familiar (same hat) the list goes on. fresh however…

imagine for a moment, that you go about existing by taking other beings as hosts. you find someone suitable to your needs and latch on. part of taking these hosts, all of the same suite across different universes, is the fact that they tend to share certain physical characteristics. standardly you alter said features to your liking; contorting limbs and stretching this borrowed body to a more comfortable stature.

these hosts, these people, are generally doomed. you don’t take precaution to save them without reason, these beings are food to you and little else. once you’re done feeding, you find another and the last is nothing but dust and forgotten code.

now, imagine you go to visit someone. you’ve never truly felt a day in your life before meeting this person. they are fascination turned obsession turned love. you enter their home as routine and you see them… but they’re wrong. they’re not meant to be that tall. they’ve never been this large this is wrong, oh so wrong.

imaging that you are a parasite who mangles their hosts into a larger frame, seeing the one person you’ve ever truly cared for, suddenly much taller than they normally are.

how do you think you would react?

wellll it’s not really my thing, it’s kinda cursed to me honestly,,

to be fair it’s really just that i like having fresh be the tallest in regards to most anyone else i draw. i just think it’s like a quality of his that aids in his scare factor. like he’s just a regular, maybe kind of annoying, guy but he’s just a little too tall. i think of the uncanny valley effect a lot when i think about fresh because he looks like a sans but he’s not, he’s literally a predator to them, a wolf in sheep’s clothing if you will. he’s too tall, always smiling but it’s kind of wrong, oddly cold to the touch, never shows his eyes but always seems like he’s looking right through you, etc etc. i dunno i just think about the fact that he’s basically piloting a corpse all the time and that most of the people he talks to on average fit his checklist for fresh meat.

sorry this turned into me talking about fresh again, i simply cannot control myself i have so many thoughts about him always bsiwmsp

you love too wholly, and as creation in my own right, i am of no exception. perhaps i should return this hand, though the idea to hold you leaves me sick. for this, may i remain the weaker of us.

that cruel, beautiful, ringing sound; like ethereal church bells. something i’ve never heard and yet i feel deeper than my clogged lungs. it remains amongst the ink, the rot, the anguish. a caring symphony despite the gods-forsaken lack of soul.

Dream having to be put on house arrest because he can't care for himself the best. Core!Frisk, Swap, Fell, Sci, Cross, just anyone at this point is let into the Omega Timeline to keep Dream there, make sure he's eating healthy, sleeping, instead of pushing himself.

dream not taking care of himself!! i am so crazy about dream not taking care of himself (nightmare too.) i think a lot about how both dream and nightmare’s lives changed so drastically after the incident (though obviously nightmare’s much more gradually than dream’s), especially in the biology department! i know nightmare’s case is… a whole other thing to look at. but on dream’s end, i mean he acquired a soul, that would change shit yknow? i however have conflicting opinions on that front and i’m way too sleepy to decide rn lol soz,,

i see dream as already having been overworked daily by the villagers pre-incident. they never considered him to just be a kid, they always thought of him as this sort of angel that was gifted to them to solve all their problems; they expected too much of him and someone was always asking something of him. dream was a workaholic people-pleaser from the beginning, going from being a guardian of the tree of feelings to the guardian of positivity across the multiverse just sort of worsened that.

i don’t know much about the omega timeline and that lot buut i do know i absolutely need dream’s friends to care about him or i’ll perish. i see swap as something of a mom friend (he is like the only responsible person he knows /hj) and he will have sleepovers with friends for comfort and care reasons, just as much as fun reasons! he’ll make sure dream takes care of himself and ink will tag along because he doesn’t wanna miss out on a sleepover, duhh.

anyways yeah i just like when the stars are friends and help each other out )).

What's your opinion on killer x dut

ooh i love me some good ol’ kist, for sure. i think a lot about the fact that they’re so similar. i think this would cause a lot of fights, but it could be grounds for reliance as well. they’d be able to confide in each other about certain things, keep each other’s head on right. i don’t think they’d have a smooth relationship; they’re both volatile and unstable murders who could kill each other at any given moment. i don’t think i need to explain why they’d be rocky together. but they really care about each other. there are good days and bad days; mean days and friendly days; violent days and quiet days. they’re stuck together either way.

but yeah um weird messy relationship where they really get each other, and they both love and hate each other because of it. they could beat the shit out of each other, and then spill their locked up, dust coated guts to each other. they could kiss, soft and loving, crack some terrible puns, then run off cos they were meant to be back an hour ago and boss’ gonna kill them.

-Nightmare’s favorite book in the romance category is Romeo and Juliet.

-Dreams a little thief, but he uses his positivity into manipulating people to get what he wants.

They have sleep on top of the tree, not at the foot of it.

oooh okok my thoughhhtss (if i ever speak matter of fact, it’s hcs i just lose myself btdubs ifjekd)

i’m not too much of a reader so i can’t speak in specifics on books, but to me nightmare’s favourite genre is romance, though i wouldn’t say romeo and juliet would be his style of romance. not to say he wouldn’t have enjoyed it, i’ve decided he’d like shakespeare because his are some of the few books i’ve actually read, and nightmare is nothing if not a centuries old theatre kid. i just believe he’d be more interested in the classical, deeply poetic style of romance. romeo and juliet is the least romantic romance ever, so it wouldn’t fit his criteria.

though i like the idea of dream dabbling in a little bit of thievery when he was younger, i don’t see that being a strong nor lasting part of his character. even when he was younger, i think he’d only steal what’s necessary. he was raised with a very particular understanding of justice (however skewed…) pushed upon him by the villagers, even just taking extra food home for his brother always sat like rocks in his stomach. unless i’m going for a dark take on him, i don’t like the idea of him being very manipulative and intentionally influencing others with his positivity. the idea of him doing so unwittingly is a whole other concept i don’t feel like running through. but yes, i like him having an influential aura, i don’t like him forcing it on others in a malicious fashion. if he ever were to use it on someone, other than potentially in the case of an emergency, it would have to have consequence. negative physical effects, loss of trust, irreversible damage to relationships. sorry i make dream miserable constantly hehe.

dream and nightmare sleeping atop the tree is not what i usually go for, but i think it’s cute! i’m a real sucker for the visual of them sleeping under the large, drooping branches of the looming tree. lying in the grass among roots and flowers, swaddled in each other’s arms on the thin fabric of the golden tapestry. i do have them climb the tree plenty, stargaze along the topmost branches, hide amongst the leaves to read in each other’s private company. i just like thinking about their poetic and devastating excuse of a home. they look so small next to the large trunk of the sacred tree. being down there in the small hours of the night is the closest they’ll ever get to a mother’s embrace goodnight.
